Position Summary
The IT Administrator is responsible for overseeing and performing necessary maintenance to support system availability, security, and recoverability. Plan, coordinate and implement system and network maintenance and security measures.

Key Responsibilities

* Performs software installations, upgrades and updates
* Assists in the planning and purchasing of new equipment as needed
* Provides firm-wide support and maintenance for all firm software
* Performs network design and maintenance when needed
* Quickly grasps new concepts and ideas
* Participates in technology implementation projects
* Develops manuals, written procedures, documentation, etc.
* Performs complex research, and reach logical, well-supported technical conclusions
* Assists in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software and telecommunications equipment
* Makes budget recommendations to CTO.
* Develops and writes procedures for installation, use and solving problems of computer hardware and software
* Acts as a liaison and sometimes instructor for training
* Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions

Job Requirements
Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
* Understanding of Windows 2003, Active Directory DNS, DHCP & Group Policies REQUIRED.
* Experience with Exchange Server, SQL Server is a plus.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
* Knowledge of web development is preferable (ASP.net, HTML and XML)
