Well X86 is an Intel chip designation. X32 and X64 relate to the memory addressing ability. X32 allows 32bit addressing whereas X64 allows 64bit addressing. 32bit addressing will allow you to address up to 2048 Megs of memory and 64bit addressing allow you to address many times that. The operating system must be written to the specific addressing scheme. As operating systems

Ok. Your computer has a physical memory. This memory is divided into pages. Each page contains a set number of bites. A bite is a numerical value of either zero or one. Computers can only count from zero to one; this is known as the binary counting system. The number of bites on a page varies from 512 to 2048 bites of data. These bites are grouped together to form mathematical words. The words represent numbers and alphabetical characters that contain the data that your computer needs to function. To keep track of each page of data the computer gives it an address so that it can find the data. Starting at 0000000000 and going to ~2048000000. The data comes from many different sources but mainly from your hard disk; where the data is stored in the same fashion in pages each one having an address. To answer your original question in an X32 system the highest memory page that can be addressed is 2 to the 32 power. Conversely the highest page that can be addressed in an X64 system is 2 to the 64 power.

The term X86 is a designation of Intel for their Processor chips. The 586 is better known as a Pentium CPU. The latest Version of Vista is 32 bit (X32). Read this : http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/software/w…

x86 refers to any processor that is instruction-compatible with the Intel 8086 and higher. This includes the Pentium, Pentium II, Celeron, Pentium III, Pentium 4, Pentium D, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo, Core i7, Atom, AMD Athlon, Sempron, Athlon 64, Phenom, and Geode.

x64 is often used to refer to any x86 processor that has 64-bit extensions (x86-64). These include the AMD Athlon 64, late models of the Pentium 4, Pentium D, Core 2 Duo, Phenom, and certain Geode processors.

x32 is a retcon of the x64 term to apply to either 32-bit only processors or programs.

You cann't convert to x64 but if you have x64 processor so you can install windows xp,Vista or 7 x64
